Warsaw Man Facing Numerous Drug, Battery Charges After Several IncidentsA Warsaw man is facing several charges in several cases for allegedly dealing methamphetamine and battering his pregnant girlfriend.

Daniel Craig Holbrook, 25, of 920 Anchorage Road, lot 11, Warsaw, was booked in the Kosciusko County Jail at 3:20 p.m. Feb. 11 and is facing charges in four separate cases.

In September 2020, officers with the Narcotics Enforcement Team 43 (NET 43) allegedly purchased 48.2 grams of methamphetamine from Holbrook in a controlled purchase. Later that month, they purchased an additional 8.67 grams of meth from Holbrook, according to court papers, and in October 82 grams of meth.

Holbrook was charged with dealing in methamphetamine, a Level 2 felony; possession of methamphetamine, a Level 3 felony; dealing in methamphetamine, a Level 3 felony; possession of methamphetamine, a Level 5 felony; dealing in methamphetamine, a Level 2 felony; and possession of methamphetamine, a Level 3 felony.

On Jan. 15, Pierceton police responded to a domestic abuse complaint that was occurring in a vehicle in the area of Ind. 13 in front of the fire station in Pierceton, according to court papers.

Upon arrival, police approached Holbrook who admitted being involved in a physical argument with his pregnant girlfriend that turned aggressive, according to the affidavit.

When police spoke to the woman, according to the affidavit, she was visibly trembling and had a black eye and had a bruise on her arm from being bitten and told police Holbrook did that on Jan. 12.

The woman also said Holbrook had just thrown pizza at her, and police reportedly observed pizza sauce on the woman and on Holbrook, according to the affidavit.

In that case, Holbrook is charged with domestic battery to a pregnant woman, a Level 5 felony; and two Class A misdemeanor domestic battery charges.

In October, police pulled over a vehicle that was towing another vehicle because the taillights of the towed vehicle were not active, according to the probable cause affidavit.

The driver told police he was towing the vehicle for Holbrook, according to court papers, and police smelled marijuana. A search of the vehicle revealed 13.6 grams of marijuana and 1.4 grams of methamphetamine, according to court documents. Holbrook allegedly admitted the marijuana was his and to using methamphetamine in the past.

In that case, Holbrook is facing a Level 6 felony possession of methamphetamine charge; and a Class B misdemeanor possession of marijuana charge.

On Aug. 22, 2019, according to court papers, police pulled over a vehicle for having false tags.

Holbrook was the driver of that vehicle, according to court papers, and did not stop when police tried to pull him over.

During the pursuit, Holbrook allegedly failed to yield the right-of-way by turning left in front of oncoming traffic at an intersection and disregarded four traffic control devices. The pursuit ended when police successfully executed a rolling roadblock.

Holbrook did not have a valid driver’s license, according to the affidavit, and police located heroin, methamphetamine, a smoking device, Ziploc bags, $280 in cash, a marijuana grinder, two pills, syringes and a debit card belong to another person.

In that case, Holbrook is facing charges for possession of a narcotic drug, a Level 6 felony; possession of methamphetamine, a Level 6 felony; possession of a syringe, a Level 6 felony; resisting law enforcement, a Level 6 felony; driving while suspended, a Class A misdemeanor; and possession of paraphernalia, a Class C misdemeanor.

His bond was set at $55,000.
