A Warsaw man was airlifted from the scene of a two-vehicle accident on Sunday, Aug. 31.
At 5:46 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 31, Paul R. Snell, 73, Warsaw, was traveling north on Ind. 15, near the intersection of West CR 200S, Warsaw, on a motorcycle. While at the intersection, Snell's motorcycle hit the rear driver's side of a vehicle being driven by Bruce A. Woodward, 69, Warsaw.
According to a Kosciusko County Sheriff's Office accident report, Snell was not coherent at the time of the accident and could not be interviewed by officers.
Woodward told police he was slowing down to yield to a yellow traffic light at the Ind. 15 and CR 200S intersection when he heard the sound of tires squealing and saw the motorcycle hit his vehicle.
Snell was ejected from his motorcycle and airlifted to Lutheran Hospital Main Branch in Fort Wayne for injuries to his knee, lower leg and foot area. He was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.
Damages are estimated up to $25,000.
