Earlier this year, Gorhe and Parrott were also named the recipients of the 2026 Lilly Endowment Scholarship through the Kosciusko County Community Foundation.
The WCHS swim team won the National Lakes Conference title for the first time since 1989.
This was Lilly Boston’s first year as girls' swim and dive coach at WCHS. She was voted NLC Coach of the Year for the 2025-26 school year. She was a Warsaw grad herself, and this has been a homecoming for her.
This was Deron Manwaring, boys' and girls' assistant swim coach, third year as coach.
Tony Debrota, boys' swim and dive coach, was not able to attend the meeting, but Boston and Manwaring made sure to acknowledge that this is his 10th year coaching at Warsaw.
Warsaw Community Schools Superintendent Dr. David Hoffert asked the team if they appreciated the renovations made to the pool after the roof collapsed a year ago.
Potter responded, “With an indoor pool a roof is important …”
Potter, Josh Warner, and Manwaring all expressed how much they appreciated the new facility and the improvements made.
Near the end of the meeting, Hoffert told Director of Facilities Jim LeMasters, “It was your diligent work … that made the last swim season happen, and we’re seeing the benefits of it now.”
