Warsaw FFA Chapter Treasurer Haley Archer is reminding the community that the annual fruit sale fundraiser will come to a close Wednesday.
The Warsaw FFA is selling a variety of fruit, cheeses and sausages, that is shipped straight to Warsaw Community High School by Blue Freedom Fresh Fruit Company. Fruits available include apples, pears, oranges, pineapples and grapefruits, along with sampler and gift boxes available.
The proceeds of the fundraiser provide opportunities for FFA members to attend trips to Indianapolis for the National FFA Convention and to West Lafayette for the State FFA Convention. The money also provides for FFA career and leadership development events such as crops evaluation, forestry evaluation, entomology evaluation, welding, livestock skill-a-thon evaluation, parliamentary procedure, demonstrations, public speaking, community service projects and FFA Week activities.
An FFA member will deliver the fruit to the customer’s door during the week of Dec. 7. To order, call 574-371-5099, ext. 2353.
