The Warsaw boys and girls swim teams ran the pool Thursday.
The Tigers won 135-50 over NorthWood in a home meet, while the Lady Tigers earned a 143-42 victory over the Lady Panthers.
Warsaw’s boys team won 10 events.
The Tigers’ 200-yard medley relay team of Zach Lalonde, Grant Knight, Nathan Taylor and Alex Cook won in 1:45.11.
Lalonde picked up a win in the 200 freestyle (1:55.23), while Taylor won the 200 IM (2:21.82) and 100 backstroke (1:10.75), Cook took first in the 50 freestyle (22.91), and Knight won the 100 freestyle (50.33) and 100 breaststroke (59.82).
Warsaw’s 200 freestyle relay squad of Nick Bazzoni, Knight, Michael Ray and Cook won (1:34.33), while Ray, Lalonde, Taylor and Bazzoni won the 400 freestyle relay (3:41.86).
On the girls side, Warsaw won 11 events.
The Lady Tigers’ 200 medley relay team of Carolina Patos Fernandez, Maddie Ray, Taylor Gunter and Lillian Boston won in 2:06.13.
Warsaw’s Dineli Presteguin won the 200 freestyle (2:21.26), while Macelyn Marcuccilli won the 200 individual medley (2:39.20), Delaney Wihebrink won the 50 freestyle (25.87) and 100 freestyle (56.39), and Gunter won the 100 butterfly (1:07.40).
Pazos Fernandez took first in the 500 freestyle (6:01.11) and100 backstroke (1:11.35), and Ray placed first in the 100 breaststroke (1:19.99).
Warsaw’s 200 freestyle relay team of Olivia Herman, Gunter, Gracie Willig and Wihebrink won 1:49.59, while the Lady Tigers’ 400 freestyle relay team of Gracie Scholl, Willig, Macelyn Marcuccilli and Boston took first in 4:11.55.
Valley Swimmers
Swept By Wabash
WABASH – The Tippecanoe Valley boys and girls swim teams lost Thursday at Wabash.
The Vikings lost 82-67, while the Lady Vikings fell 94-76.
Valley will compete Saturday at 9 a.m. in the Pilgrim Relays at Plymouth.
Wawasee Drops Road Game To Adams
SOUTH BEND – Casey Schroeder scored 12 points, but the Wawasee girls basketball team lost 43-33 Thursday at South Bend Adams.
The Lady Warriors (2-6) and Lady Eagles (2-5) were tied at eight after the first quarter, but Adams outscored Wawasee in the next three quarters for the double-digit victory.
All of Schroeder’s points came on three-pointers.
Adams’ Makiah McCain had a game-high 18 points.
Wawasee will play Saturday at 7:45 p.m. at Northridge.

Wawasee Grapplers Lose First Match Of Season
SYRACUSE – The Wawasee wrestling team suffered its first loss of the season Thursday, falling 42-36 to Culver Academies in a home match.
The Warriors jumped out to a 30-9 lead on the strength of pins by Dylan Tom (113 pounds), Gabe Henderson (138) pounds), and Braxton Alexander (145 pounds), as well as two wins by forfeit.
However, Culver Academies mounted a furious comeback, and the Warriors won just one more match to drop to 10-1.
