How many of you out there are dog owners? They become an important part of your life and just like a family member.
I live in an apartment building where the only place that residents in this area can walk their dogs is the city sidewalks. Transportation for many people is an issue as many of them no longer drive or do not own a vehicle. You can walk your dogs on the boardwalk over by Pike Lake, but again, transportation is an issue.
What would it take to have some doggie parks around the city where you could let your precious furry friend romp? Is there anyone out there who would be willing to donate to the cause to make this a reality for the animals that love us so much?
I have not researched what the city ordinances would involve or allow. If anyone wants to give some input, I am sure Mr. Gerard would allow a letter to the editor about this subject.
