Perhaps you heard Senator Kennedy mumbling away the other day as he gave his support to Obama. I don't know about you, but to me he reminded me of the story of Rip Van Winkle who slept for 20 years and then woke up.
Also, as one who was hungry after sleeping so, decided to go to restaurant for breakfast. The waitress came and received his order. When she brought his food, after learning she was Republican, he did not show any appreciation so did not say thanks or leave her a tip.
He mentioned "war that should never be fought." Because of his sleeping, he doesn't realize the peace of our country has had since 9/11.
Because of his sleeping, he doesn't remember or know that President Bush said, "He would rather fight the war overseas, than on the homefront."
He said, "Time for a new generation." I suppose he feels "good or bad," as long as it is Democrat, it would be OK.
I suggest he get a cup of coffee and wake up. There is work to be done in Washington. Senator, you have slept long enough. It's time you wake up.
