A Wabash man was killed Tuesday afternoon in a single-vehicle crash on Ind. 13.
According to a news release from the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office, deputies and emergency personnel responded Tuesday at 3:54 p.m. to the fatal accident on Ind. 13, approximately 900 feet south of South Barbee Drive in Tippecanoe Township.
Emergency personnel arrived on scene and located a single vehicle involved in the crash. Preliminary investigation determined a 2006 Buick Lucerne was southbound on Ind. 13 just south of South Barbee Drive when the vehicle’s tires left the east side of the road. The vehicle then overcorrected, crossing both lanes of travel, leaving the road and hitting a tree before coming to a rest, the release states.
The driver of the Buick, Bryce J. Dillon, 32, of Wabash, was pronounced dead at the scene by the Kosciusko County Coroner’s Office as a result of his injuries suffered in the crash.
The KCSO was assisted at the scene by Kosciusko County Coroner’s Office, North Webster Police Department, Tippecanoe Township Fire Territory and EMS, Lutheran Air, Kosciusko County Central Dispatch and Crouse Wrecker Service.
The crash remains under investigation by the Kosciusko County FACT team.
