Editor, Times-Union: In a few weeks, more than 50 percent of the voters will not vote. The school has a slogan, “The Future Is Now.” If more than 50 percent of the voters don’t vote – then they don’t care about the future. We can blame the opposing side for voting against us, but the problem is those who don’t vote. What has happened to America? Third-world countries’ voters stand for hours to vote, and sometimes they risk their own lives to vote. What has happened to America? Americans have freedoms that other countries wish they had. When people don’t vote, we get the government we deserve. American’s downfall will be from inside out. I don’t have any solutions, but only ask why?
