Editor, Times-Union: I have recently gotten to know Curt Nisly, who is running for the position of state representative in District 22. There are things that I definitely do not have in common with this man. He runs half-marathons. He has spent months studying the Constitution. And he’s so tech-savvy that he owns his own computer tech company. People like this make me feel old, uncommitted and tech-stupid. But I’ll forgive him for these things. On the other hand, I do have some things in common with Curt, like a love for our country, our state and our northern Indiana heritage. We also share a number of ideals starting with sincerity and honesty. We both love our freedom and liberty and want to protect those things not only for ourselves but for our future generations. Curt believes in limited government and that what government that is necessary should be based on the Constitution and should govern from the local and state levels. People like this make me feel understood, assured and hopeful for the future. And I thank him for these things. As a result. I have volunteered to help Curt Nisly run for state representative in my district and would invite you to do the same. His website is www.curtnisly.com and there is a “Get Involved” button there where you can volunteer in any number of ways. Please join me. Choose wisely – vote Nisly! Deb Spencer Mentone, via e-mail
