I know this will go over like a lead balloon in Kosciusko County, but I can take the rebuttals.

I am reading a book called "The Death of a President" written by William Manchester in 1997. The subject matter is the assassination of John F. Kennedy. The book begins by describing the "conservative" atmosphere of Dallas in 1963.

It sounds exactly like Kosciusko County today. The conservative community leaders were publishing articles calling John F. Kennedy a traitor because he believed in separation of church and state. It chills my blood to think that President Obama is facing the exact same threat for the exact same reasons.

People who oppose abortion frequently murder nurses and physicians in abortion clinics. The reason is for killing is pro-life. Am I the only American who does not understand murder as an instrument of pro-life? Why can't we agree that nobody likes abortion, but in some very early circumstances a morning-after pill may be merciful to the unprepared potential mother?

Why can this one subject separate people so widely that we are trying to reject a program that would extend insurance benefits to legal American residents who have lost their benefits due to the recession?

Does no one care about our children and grandchildren who need benefits? This recession started under George Bush's watch and the he started the stimulus movement. We can pass legislation that excludes illegal residents in our United States.

I hope that the similarities between John F. Kennedy and Barrack Obama stop here. I would hate to see this man murdered because he does not cater to the "rich getting richer" philosphy.

We raise our children to share. We adults need to listen to our own training. Make your parents proud and support a fair government for all legal citizens. In 1963 a 4th grade class in Dallas applauded when they learned President Kennedy had been assassinated. This is where we are heading if we continue to worship the party-line and cease being caring human beings. Please save our children and grandchildren from this legacy of hate and greed.
