Violet L. Rader, 91, went to be with her Lord and Savior at 1:24 a.m. Feb. 27, 2010, at Fox Run Manor, Findlay, Ohio.

She was born Dec. 15, 1918, in Ottawa, Ohio, to Harvey N. and Mary Salsburey. On Feb. 14, 1942, she married Carl B. Rader, who preceded her in death.

She moved from Ottawa to Findlay, where she shared 61 years of loving marriage with her husband. Carl worked for Cooper Tire, and Violet was a homemaker, raising two daughters.

She was a member of Findlay Christian & Missionary Alliance Church for 30 years and then became a member of First United Brethren Church, when her first church closed. She had a deep faith which was shown by her sincere love of friends and her family. She had a gift of giving to others that has left a mark on those she met in life even to this day.

Surviving are a daughter, Beverly (and spouse David) Reynolds, Warsaw; seven grandchildren: Kari, Jeremy (and spouse Natalie), Nicole, Lisa, Mike (and spouse Tammy), Lori and Matthew (and spouse Amy); a son-in-law, Gary Gearing, Findlay; and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Jan.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Routson Funeral Home, 201 Osborn Ave., Findlay, Ohio, with Pastor Darwin Dutton officiating. Burial will be in Findlay Maple Grove Cemetery.

Calling is from 3 to 5 and 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and one hour prior to the service Thursday at the funeral home.
