Village At Winona To Host Annual Tree-Lighting Ceremony

WINONA LAKE – The Village at Winona will host its annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony Nov. 25 in conjunction with Toys for Tots.
Featuring a visit from Santa Claus, train rides, music, cookies and hot chocolate, caroling, kids ornament making and more, Toys for Tots and the Village at Winona will collect donations of toys to help spread the Christmas spirit.
The ceremony and many family-friendly activities will take place from 1:30 to 6:30 p.m. Nov. 25 on Park Avenue next to LetterWood Paper Co.
The Village at Winona and Toys for Tots have partnered for this event to collect toy donations, and ask that visitors bring new, unwrapped toys to spread the Christmas spirit.
The schedule of activities is as follows:
All-day events, 1:30 to 6:30 p.m.
• Toy donations accepted for Toys for Tots – boxes located throughout The Village
• Train rides for all ages
1:30 to 5:30 p.m.
• Kids’ ornament-making table in the brick alley pavilion
2 to 6 p.m.
• Demonstrations of a rare and remarkable Stinson Player Organ by Karl Rider
4 to 6:30 p.m.
• Lakeland Community Choir caroling throughout The Village
4:30 to 6:30 p.m.
• Free cookies and hot chocolate
• Santa Claus will be on hand to hear the children’s Christmas wishes
• Lakeland Community Choir caroling throughout The Village at the shops
6:15 to 6:30 p.m.
• Lighting ceremony takes place with the help of the Winona Lake Fire Department and their lift truck.
The Village’s artisan shops and restaurants will be open, and free parking is available throughout The Village.
