ROCHESTER – Vernice N. Rhodes, 84, of 315 Fulton Ave., Rochester, died at 5:20 a.m. March 6, 2012, in Life Care Center.
She was born May 9, 1927, in Rochester, to Wilbur and Lillie Opple Craig. On March 8, 1946, in Rochester, she married Dale Rhodes, who died Oct. 25, 2004.
A lifetime Fulton County resident, she was a homemaker and a member of Riverview Community Church. She was active in the Community Senior Center and volunteered at Woodlawn Hospital for 42 years.
Surviving are three daughters, Sandra Rogers, Rochester; Kimberly (and spouse Robert) England, Vandalia, Ohio; and Michelle (and spouse Todd) Hubenthal, Logansport; a son, Dale Lynn (and spouse Karen) Rhodes, Cilena, Ohio; 10 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three sisters and three brothers.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Good Family Funeral Home, Rochester, with the Rev. Rod Ruberg officiating. Burial will be in Rochester IOOF Cemetery.
