Vereen L. Kelly, 92, went to be with her Lord June 27, 2013, with her family by her side. She was born in Claypool to Homer and Inez Warren. In 1942 she married Norman A. Kelly, who preceded her in death after 53 years of marriage. She resided most of her life in Warsaw and moved to Port St. Lucie, Fla., where she has lived for the past 31 years. She and her husband enjoyed many years of a loving friendship and playing golf and were members of Tippecanoe Lake Country Club and Club Med in Port St. Lucie, Fla. She was full of life and had a lot of love for her family and friends. She also enjoyed playing cards and bowling. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Stuart, Fla. Also surviving are a daughter, Jackie A. Kelly Ramsten, Stuart, Fla.; a grandson, Chris (and spouse Doreen) Kelly, Ft. Pierce, Fla.; four granddaughters: Salli (and spouse Peter) Bougas, Grayson, Ga., Kelly (and spouse Eric) Pearson, Sandy Springs, Ga., Julie (and spouse Sean) Cushing, Virginia Beach, Va., and Morgan Kelly, Port St. Lucie, Fla.; nine great-grandchildren: Gabriel and Jayden, Port St. Lucie, Fla., Nicholas, Emily, and Anna, Grayson, Ga., Spencer and Jacob, Sandy Springs, Ga., and Zachary and Leah, Virginia Beach, Va.; and two cousins: Layne (and spouse Janet) Warren, and Bob (and spouse Marge) Warren, Claypool. She was preceded in death by two sons, Danny R. Kelly and David F. Kelly. A memorial service wil be held at a future date in Warsaw.
