Vaughn D. Zellers Sr., 73, Warsaw, passed away at 11:30 a.m. July 23, 2014, in Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne, after a long battle with Multiple Sclerosis. He was born Oct. 5, 1940, in Logansport, to Vaughn Donald and Mary M. Simons Zellers. On Sept. 16, 1959, in Logansport, he was united in marriage to Linda Watts, who preceded him in death April 15, 2014. He moved to the Warsaw area from Logansport in 1970. He had worked as a machinist for Union Tool and Zimmer Inc. He enjoyed playing the piano, reading and gardening. He also was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army Reserve. He is survived by two daughters, Debbie (and spouse Dale) Hileman, Akron, and Becky Zellers-Keefer, North Webster; four sons: Tim (and spouse Donna) Zellers, Elkhart; Brian (and spouse Kim) Zellers, Warsaw; Vaughn Dean “Charlie” (and spouse Megan) Zellers Jr., Marietta, Ga.; and Donny Zellers, Leesburg; 13 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. He also was preceded in death by his daughter, June Ann Zellers; his parents; and his brother, Joe Zellers.
