Vanetta A. “Peg” Garber, 90, Warsaw, passed away at 4 a.m. Jan. 19, 2017, at Miller’s Merry Manor, Warsaw. 
She was born Nov. 19, 1926, in Norcatur, Kan., to Erhard and Eulalah Chappel Rydquist.
She graduated from Warsaw High School with the class of 1944. On Sept. 14, 1947, she was united in marriage to Albert C. “Gabby” Garber, who preceded her in death March 8, 2009.
She was a teller for Lake City Bank for 40 years and had also worked for Kline’s department store and Skelgas. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her son, Jon (companion Jane Eaton) Garber, Claypool; and three daughters: Lana Garber, Wabash; Janet Bilyew, North Manchester; and Sue (spouse Mike) Sands, Fort Wayne. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Brittany (spouse Robbie) Olive, Amber (spouse Mike) Feltner and Lance Sands; along with five great-grandchildren. She is further survived by her sister, Treva Mann.
She was preceded by her husband; two grandsons, Jason and Brock Bilyew; and a great grandson, McKale Olive.
A funeral service will take place at 1 p.m. Monday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, officiated by Pastor Mark Need. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral chapel.
