Valley School Board Reorganizes For 2023AKRON – Thursday, the Tippecanoe Valley School Board reorganized for 2023.
Board members David Lash, Todd Hoffman and Tom Bauters were sworn in by deputy treasurer Melinda Kamp after being re-elected to the positions during the Nov. 8 election.
After the swearing-in ceremony, officers were approved. Lash was approved to be president, Adam Heckaman as vice president and Hoffman as secretary.
For 2023, it was approved the Board will meet on the third Monday of each month.
In other business, the Board learned:
• Abigail Bowers will be recognized during Monday’s meeting for receiving the Indiana Association of School Principals’ Indiana Academic All-Star award.
• Kaylynn Miller, Makenna Restschler, Caroline Stump and Katelyn Stump will be recognized at Monday’s meeting for being the Indiana Association of School Principals’ Rising Stars Class of 2024.
• Skillman Corp. will update the Board on the high school construction project.
During the last week of January, Skillman will meet with contractors and go through drawings, walk the high school and hash out more details.
