On May 2, the Tippecanoe Valley poultry team competed at the state poultry contest. Participants evaluate live birds, grade eggs and poultry products, identify poultry parts, and complete a written exam on poultry production, management, processing and food safety. The junior team placed sixth with member Lyle Haney placing 11th overall individual. The junior team consisted of Lyle Haney, Harrison Burton, Delilah Ragon and Camille Tucker. The senior team consisting of Lindsay Petersen, Lillian Dunbar, Brenton Miller and Hayden Stookey took home fourth place. Lindsay Petersen placed 12th overall individual. Members Levi French and Aaron Babbitt competed individually and placed within the top 50.
