Valerie Ann Skinner, 44, Winona Lake, passed away at 10:47 a.m. Dec. 7, 2014, at her residence.
She was born Nov. 2, 1970, in Spaulding, Manchester Parish, Jamaica, West Indies, to Eugene and Barbara Green Frye. On Aug. 4, 1999, in Warsaw, she married Randy Skinner, who survives in Winona Lake.
She lived most of her life in Kosciusko County. She graduated from Warsaw Community High School with the Class of 1988. She studied at Grace College and earned her biblical studies degree from Word of Life Bible Institute.
She was a self-employed housekeeper, and attended Christ’s Covenant Church. She loved and treasured her boys, enjoyed the beach in the summer, flower gardening and loved her cat, Snow.
Also surviving are two sons, Nicholas and Joseph Skinner, both of Winona Lake; her parents, Warsaw; and a brother, Nate (and spouse Lisa) Frye, Winona Lake. She was preceded in death by a sister, Angela Frye, who died Aug. 4, 2003.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Titus Funeral Home, 2000 E. Sheridan St., Warsaw, with Pastor Jeff Pfeiffer, Warsaw Community Church, officiating. Burial is in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
Calling is from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
