United Way’s ‘Women Who Care’ Event Unveils New Initiatives Throughout the pandemic, United Way focused on one question – what do our children need to overcome the challenges they are facing?
On June 17 at Tippy Creek Winery, the “Women Who Care” event will share the answer. Three bold new efforts, championed by women volunteers, will be unveiled, according to a news release from United Way. These initiatives focus on helping kids get ready for success when they attend school this fall.

“This event has grown to have a deeper meaning over the last year,” said Juli Eckel, chair of the Women Who Care committee. “As leaders, our women volunteers don’t want to just support the things that are needed for kids – we want to create them.”
United Way is committed to strengthening its efforts to help women leaders have a greater impact, the release states.
Women Who Care takes place at Tippy Creek Winery in Leesburg on June 17, beginning at 6 p.m.

“This event is the debut for projects our volunteers have been working on for months,” said Tammy Keirn, chair of the United Way Board of Directors. “It’s a great chance to combine making a difference and a Girls Night Out. There’s really nothing quite like it.”
Women Who Care is a stage for volunteers to share their passions and to lift up the work of other women.
