Underage Drinking

Editor, Times-Union:

This is in response to what Ms. Reny Missos had to say.

All I have to say is that some opinions are better left unsaid. I don't think she even knows what she is talking about. I am really "dorked" that she even had to put her word in.

For this overzealous mother that had felt the need to inform the police about my brother that night, if it bothers you so much that someone underage is having a drink, my question for you is, why were you even in an atmosphere like that anyways? Wake up, this is 2008, it's not the 1950s anymore. If it bothers you so much, maybe you should just stay home and bake your son some cookies or something next time.

Mr. Metzger was correct in everything he had said in his letter.

I believe that before these police try to get a handle on what's going on in our society, that they need to get a handle on the problems and the corruptness that is going on in our county's police departments. For example, on-duty police officers were also "having drinks" that night at the Wagon Wheel. We have police officers that are not even citizens of our country. I believe a good word I can use to describe our police departments would be "dirty."

As I said before, Mr. Metzger's statement was very correct. Please don't forget either that some opinions are better left unsaid.
