Twylla M. Ulery Tolley, of Cincinnati, Ohio, and formerly of North Webster, passed away surrounded by loved ones on Sept. 18, 2026, in the care of Covenant Village Care Center, Cincinnati, Ohio, at the age of 76.
Born on Oct. 15, 1949, in North Webster, she was the beloved daughter of Leo R. Ulery and Lucille Ruth Foreman Ulery Thompson. Twylla grew up in North Webster, where she made lifelong memories and graduated from North Webster High School with the Class of 1967.
In her early career, Twylla was a familiar and welcoming face to many in her community, working at the Warsaw K-Mart and serving guests at the Grassy Creek Restaurant. Driven by a desire to help others, she later attended lab school in South Bend to become a certified phlebotomist.
In the early 1970s, Twylla’s adventures took her to Lawrenceburg before she ultimately settled in Cincinnati, Ohio, a city she truly loved. It was there that she met, Vince Tolley. The two were wed in 1983 and shared many wonderful years together before his passing.
An avid sports fan, Twylla passionately cheered on her favorite hometown teams, the Cincinnati Bengals and the Reds. She found simple joy in her daily routine, especially sitting down to watch Wheel of Fortune, and she nourished her faith as a member of St. John’s Catholic Church.
More than anything, Twylla loved her family, who will forever miss her vibrant personality. She was known affectionately by the nursing staff at Covenant Care Village as the beloved “Spicy Nugget.” Her memory will always be treasured by her sister, Donna Wiles, of Warsaw; her nieces and nephews: Cheryl (Mike) Lennon, Jennie Fawley, Bob (Kathy) Fawley, Tammy (Ed) Boggs; alongside a host of loving cousins and dear friends. Twylla was preceded in death by her husband, Vince; her parents; and her brother, Charles Fawley.
Twylla’s life will be celebrated with a graveside service at 1 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 25 at Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw, and officiated by Father Paschal Ikejemba. Arrangements entrusted to Redpath-Fruth-Byers Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw.
Memorial donations may be directed to Hospice of Cincinnati, 4310 Cooper Road, Cincinnati, OH 45242.
