Two Injured in Crash Wednesday MorningTwo people were airlifted by air ambulance to a hospital after a two-vehicle accident Wednesday morning at the intersection of Ind. 15 and CR 900N in Van Buren Township.
Shortly after 5 a.m., emergency crews were dispatched to the intersection of Ind. 15 and CR 900N, according to a press release from Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office Public Information Officer Sgt. Chris Francis.
The preliminary results of the investigation indicate that Spencer Stapleton, 23, of Warsaw, was driving a 2004 Honda Accord westbound on CR 900N prior to the collision. The front of Jeffries’ vehicle struck the driver’s side of Stapleton’s vehicle, which split Stapleton’s vehicle in half.
Stapleton was ejected and landed approximately 50 feet from his vehicle. Stapleton and the front seat passenger in Stapleton’s vehicle, Dusty Deshane, 27, of Warsaw, were transported from the scene by air ambulance. The press release stated Stapleton’s injuries as critical and Deshane’s injuries as noncritical.
Jeffries and two minor passengers refused treatment at the scene. Two parked vehicles were damaged at a residence on the northwest corner of the intersection.
Responding agencies were KCSO, Milford Police Department, Milford Fire Department, Lutheran EMS, Turkey Creek Fire Territory, Lutheran Air Ambulance and North Webster Fire Department.
