TVSC?Board Approves Makeup Days; Kindergarten Round-Up March 11

AKRON – At the regular board meeting held Feb. 18, the Tippecanoe Valley School Corporation Board of School Trustees approved a calendar amendment of the master calendar for the 2018-19 school year due to inclement weather and missed days of school.
March 15 originally was scheduled to be a teacher work day with students not attending classes. The board approved that school will be in session that day, which will mark the end of the grading period.
Parent-teacher conferences have also been moved and will start the week of March 18. Schools will be sending home information and schedules. School will be in session for students on March 22.
Kindergarten registration for the 2019-20 school year is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. March 11 at Akron and Mentone elementary schools. Incoming kindergarten students need to be 5 years old on or before Aug. 1.
Parents and guardians should bring birth certificates, immunization records and any other important documentation. Child care will be available for siblings that evening.
