A head-on collision Tuesday afternoon on CR 100E in Warsaw sent two people to the hospital.
At 3:10 p.m. Tuesday, Warsaw police responded to the intersection of North CR 100E and East CR 300N to investigate a crash that had occurred as a driver was trying to make a left hand turn onto 300N.
According to the crash report, a 2018 Chevrolet Equinox, driven by Marcella E. Palmer, 80, of North CR 600W, Warsaw, was driving north on North CR 100E, approaching the intersection of 300N and she began to turn left onto 300N.
As she turned, a 2005 Dodge Caravan, driven by Heather E. Hook, 48, of South Circle Drive West, Warsaw, was driving south on North CR 100E and was unable to avoid hitting the Equinox head-on.
Palmer complained of arm and leg pain and was taken by ambulance to Kosciusko Community Hospital for further medical examination. A passenger in Hook’s vehicle, Tami M. Zurzolo, 49, of East Armstrong Road, Leesburg, was taken by ambulance to Lutheran Hospital Fort Wayne for bleeding on her head.
