Troop 10380 Collecting Candy For Girl Scout Silver AwardHave any extra candy around the house you want to get rid of?
Girl Scout Troop 10380 is organizing a candy drive for unwanted candy to give to organizations with kids that can use it. All of this effort is going toward earning their Girl Scout Silver Award, the highest Girl Scout Award a Girl Scout Cadette can earn.
The troop met with Warsaw Mayor Joe Thallemer on Tuesday and were able to set up a donation box at city hall. Troop member Elisabeth Josellis also talked with WRSW radio. She thanks them and all the businesses who will have out donation boxes through Nov. 8 to collect unwanted unwrapped candy.
The Girl Scouts candy collections boxes will be at these businesses: Anytime Fitness, Baker Youth Club, Chimps Comix, Collier’s Dance Studio, Giverny Fitness Studio, H & L Auto, KC Recycling, Latte Lounge, Positive Fitness, Warsaw City Hall’s Wastewater Bill Collection Office, Workout Anytime and WRSW Radio, 216 W. Market St., Warsaw.
Anyone wanting some of the candy donated to their organization should contact Troop Leaders Donna Josellis at djosellis@comcast.net or Kim Kelley at Kelleykim599@gmail.com.
