Editor, Times-Union: This Saturday, June 23, is the annual Warsaw Breakfast's Optimists triathlon.
There have been several articles in the recent papers about this event but I just wanted to make one final reminder to all the people who drive on the Pierceton Road to try and avoid that road between 8 to 11 a.m. on Saturday. It gets very crowded with all of the cyclists during that time and vehicular traffic makes it dangerous for everyone.
No matter how much publicity is out there before the triathlon, we still have quite a bit of traffic. Maybe this letter will cause a few more drivers to remember to avoid the road this Saturday. The athletes will really appreciate it.
