Trash Cans

This is responding to Matt Boggs’ letter about the trash cans. I feel your pain on dealing with our trash service. I, too, had some problems with them.
My first dealings was they would put the empty trash cans in the middle of your driveway so when you were coming home from work you had to stop in the street to move them so you could get in your driveway. I had called them several times and asked them to stop doing this, and the guy there would say he would talk to them but they wouldn’t stop. By the way, I wasn’t leaving them in the driveway but in the grass part of my yard that is between the sidewalk and the street. They did finally stop after calling them over and over again.
My second dealing was one time they didn’t pick up all my trash and left no note saying why. So I called again and asked why, and they said it was due to I had yard waste in it (which was weeds the size of a basketball). So not knowing what to do with it, I left it along the street and the next time they came they finally left me a note saying no yard waste in the street. So I called them again and asked what the heck am I suppose to do with it. That’s when I found out you are to suppose to put it in  a box or a container of its own.
I guess my point is if the trash people would just pull their head out and leave the notes in the first place, there would be no misunderstanding. Also, it does seem when you complain to them, they try to make things harder for you as well for awhile as if they are trying to pay you back for complaining.
I think someone in the city government needs to look into the trash service and maybe send out surveys asking how they are doing. Just a thought.
