Late last night (1/11/2011) I saw unthinkable news! Today, in Arizona, while the Pima County Sheriff Clarence Dupnik is busy with his political propoganda on TV, our nation mourns with the family of the beautiful 9-year-old girl whose life was snuffed out (with the lives of five other people) by 9mm bullets fired from a handgun that should never have been sold to the 22-year-old mentally disturbed young man.
Yesterday, Arizona's governor signed into state law a bill making it unlawful to hold a demonstration closer than 300 feet from a funeral. That will protect the grieving family of the 9-year-old girl from the hateful words of people who should be in their own "place of prayer" interceding for all of the world's "lost" people. And, yes, we Christians are also praying for the grieving family of Jared Lee Loughner. May our Lord help them (and all of us) to accept the forgiveness of the Almighty and Loving God who holds out to every penitant soul who asks forfgiveness (with honest pusrpose to follow Jesus from now on ...) Amen!
