MILFORD – The town of Milford invites the public to attend a groundbreaking ceremony marking the start of construction on the Milford water utility improvements project.
The groundbreaking will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday at 11693 Ind. 15, Milford., according to a news release from the town.
This transformative project will modernize Milford’s water utility infrastructure to improve water quality, reliability and system performance for residents and businesses throughout the town. The project includes a new water treatment plant with aeration, detention and filtration equipment to remove iron and manganese from the groundwater supply. It also includes distribution system improvements to reduce stagnant water and improve pressure across the system.
The $7.38 million project is funded in part through the Indiana Finance Authority’s State Revolving Fund (SRF) Loan Program, including $4,761,000 in forgivable loan dollars.
Town officials and special dignitaries will be on hand for brief remarks and the ceremonial groundbreaking.
