Tommy ‘Tom’ Jay HawblitzelTommy “Tom” Jay Hawblitzel, of Warsaw, Ind., passed away at 2:32 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 17, 2017, at Goshen Hospital, Goshen, Ind., at the age of 76.  

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 42 years, Sara Jean Hawblitzel, of Warsaw; three sons,  T.J. (Carol) Hawblitzel, Jr., of Western Springs, Ill., Gary (Pam) Hawblitzel, of Warsaw, and Steve (Tracie) Hawblitzel, of Warsaw; and his daughter, Debra (Jim) Schultz of Franksville, Wisc.  He also leaves behind nine grandchildren,  Cody Ratley, Rian Schultz, of Franksville, Wisc., Lucy and Ella Hawblitzel, of Western Springs, Ill., and McKenna, Melaina, Andrew, Alex and Aarin Hawblitzel, of Warsaw; and his brother, Don (Nancy) Edward Whiteman, of South Bend, Ind.  

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Beautiful Hidden Lake was where Captain Tom loved to spend time with his family and friends.  The Hawblitzel family invites you to come to Hidden Lake, 2455 Hidden Lake Drive, Warsaw, on Sunday, July 7, at 4 p.m. for the dedication of the equipment building and to honor the life of Tom Hawblitzel with his final military rites to be conducted by active duty members of the U.S. Navy, and American Legion Post #49 and the V.F.W. #1126, both of Warsaw.  The family would like to thank Randy and Tracey Patrick… “we love our Lake City Skiers family.”
