Tommy “Tom” Jay Hawblitzel, 76, Warsaw, died at 2:32 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 17, 2017, at Goshen Hospital.
He was born July 13, 1941, in South Bend, to William Russell Hawblitzel and Jean Ruth Andrews Hawblitzel Whiteman. On April 13, 1975, he was married to Sara Jean Walters, who survives.
Tom served in the U.S. Navy from 1959 to 1961.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw.
His funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Full military rites will be conducted at a later date.
