The unemployment rate in this area hovers around 12 percent. May I respectfully suggest the Times-Union hire a proofreader.
My letter of Oct. 14 contained no less than six errors. "Apologetic" and "apoplectic" are nearly opposite in meaning. "Nearly" is not the same as "nary". "Fever" is a rise in body temperature; "fervor" means with great zeal. "Unfolded" means to open something folded; "unfounded" means not founded on fact or truth. The word "and" was substituted for "of" and the word "became" became "become".
This many errors in a letter of that size is inexcusable. If this is intentional to make me appear an uneducated hick, them mission accomplished. In the future, if you don't like the content of my letters, then don't print them. Please don't resort to the unprofessional hack job that resulted in my last attempt to exercise my right to free speech.
