NORTH MANCHESTER – Timbercrest Senior Living Community announced the opening of the new Timbercrest Woodland Trail paved pathway designed to provide residents, families and community members with greater opportunities to enjoy nature while promoting wellness and outdoor activity.
The trail officially opened on Sept. 18.
For more than five decades, Timbercrest has called North Manchester home. Throughout the years, the community has continually invested in its campus, creating a vibrant environment that encourages connection, wellness and meaningful experiences, according to a provided news release.
One of the features that makes Timbercrest unique is its rural setting. In 2024, Timbercrest acquired woods adjacent to the chapel, expanding the campus to 120 acres. The acquisition was made with a vision of creating additional outdoor space where residents, families and neighbors could walk, explore, exercise and experience the natural beauty of the property, the release states.
The newly opened Woodland Trail brings that vision to life. Featuring a paved, ADA-compliant pathway, the trail is accessible to people of all abilities and provides a welcoming space for walking, running, biking and mobility scooter use.
The Woodland Trail is open to residents, families, friends, and community members, inviting everyone to explore the woods and experience the natural surroundings that make Timbercrest special, according to the release.
