NORTH MANCHESTER – Tim R. Hoffman died June 20, 2026, at Timbercrest Healthcare Center in North Manchester.
He was born Sept. 10, 1924, in Johnstown, Pa., to Milton and Frieda Ripple Hoffman.
He enlisted first in the Navy and later in the Marines, serving courageously in a medical unit stationed in the Pacific Theater during World War II.
He married Jean Backus Aug. 14, 1948, in Dayton, Ohio; Jean died July 29, 2000. Tim later married Roberta Guthrie Dickey on Dec. 8, 2001, in Flushing, Mich.; Roberta died Aug. 25, 2017.
A celebration of life will be held in September in Clermont, Fla.
