Editor, Times-Union: After I read the article tonight about the Warsaw Tiger sectional game, I felt the need to express my thoughts about this team. Because, despite the heart-breaking outcome of the team’s final outing, this was an amazing team and more than just the outcome of one game. This bunch of gentlemen, and they truly are gentlemen, played together with a quiet strength that showed everyone watching exactly what type of team this was; they were dedicated, hard-working, caring, and above all committed 100 percent to playing good Tiger basketball. They were a joy to watch and brought so much excitement to this group of fans. The cost of a season ticket was a small price to pay for such good entertainment. I may be biased, because at least one of these guys has been playing hoops in my driveway with my son for the last 10 years, but it has been a privilege to be a part of the 2014-15 Tiger basketball fan crew. My congratulations go out to everyone that was a part of this team and all the coaches. This team, Kyle, Paul, Nick, Tim, Jake, Rashaan, Peyton, Riley, Jeremy and Evan, will go down as all-stars in my book because they are more than a series of wins and losses, or baskets and rebounds, they are a team Warsaw can be proud of, on and off the court.
