Thurl S. Kester, 68, Warsaw, passed away at 4:02 a.m. Feb. 13, 2015, at his residence. He was born Sept. 13, 1946, in Wabash, to Clyde T. and Geneva W. Stucker Kester. On March 7, 1965, in Bourbon, he married Jane E. Schaetzle, who preceeded him in death June 12, 2012. On Oct. 19, 2013, in Warsaw, he married B. Jane Earl, who survives. He was a lifetime resident of Warsaw. He was the owner of Kester’s Electric Motor Service. He raced sprint cars, loved motorcycles, dachshunds and was a member of the Gold Wing Road Riders Association. Also surviving are three sons: Steven (and spouse Christine) Kester, Warsaw; W. Clyde (and spouse Jennifer) Kester, Lakeville; Steven (and spouse Sherry) Lee, Albion; a daughter, Laura (and spouse George) Stidams, Warsaw; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a brother, Greg (and spouse Mary) Kester, Warsaw. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Titus Funeral Home, 2000 E. Sheridan St., Warsaw, with the Rev. Mark Cottrill, of United Pentecostal Church of Bourbon, officiating.
