Three Injured In Friday CollisionThree people were injured late Friday morning in a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Armstrong Road and CR 200E in Plain Township.
The injuries to Javier Garza, 25; James Mudd, 21; and Spencer Shilling, 60, all of Warsaw, were non-life-threatening, according to a news release from the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office.
Mudd was the front-seat passenger in a 2005 Chrysler Pacifica driven by Garza. Shilling was driving a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado.
The release indicates the collision occurred at about 10:19 a.m. Friday.
The preliminary results of the KCSO investigation indicate that Shilling was driving west on Armstrong Road, approaching CR 200E, prior to the accident. Garza was going north on CR 200E and crossed into Shilling’s path at Armstrong Road, the release states. The front of Shilling’s Silverado hit the passenger side of Garza’s Pacificia.
Garza and Shilling were taken to a Warsaw hospital for evaluation. Mudd was airlifted from the scene by Parkview Samaritan Air Ambulance and taken to a Fort Wayne hospital, according to the release.
The crash remains under investigation.
