Three people were injured in a two-vehicle accident at about 4:01 p.m. Wednesday at the intersection of Ind. 14 and CR 600W east of Akron, according to information from the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office. Anthony Collins, 22, Silver Lake, the driver of the 2008 white Chrysler Sebring, complained of pain to the entire body. Front-passenger in the Sebring, Austin Collins, 23, Mentone, had a head injury. As of about 7 p.m. Wednesday, Austin Collins was in critical condition. The rear-seat passenger in the Sebring, Rita Collins, 56, Mentone, complained of pain to the entire body. David Kintzel, 47, Akron, the driver of the 2010 white Jeep Wrangler, didn’t report any injuries. Kosciusko County Sheriff Kyle Dukes said the Sebring was traveling south on CR 600 West and failed to yield to the Jeep that was traveling west on Ind. 14. Agencies involved included the Kosciusko County 911 Communications Center, Kosciusko County Sheriff's Office, Kosciusko County Sheriff's Office Fatal Team, Silver Lake Police Department, Silver Lake Fire Department, Burket Fire Department, Parkview EMS and Samaritan Air Ambulance.
