WINONA LAKE – Thelma L. Clark, 87, passed away Aug. 12, 2012, in Grace Village Assisted Living.
She was born Oct. 19, 1924, in Elkhart, to Victor and Laura Hoover Pletcher. On Sept. 23, 1944, in Goshen, she married Clifford W. Clark, who died July 27, 1990.
A longtime area resident, she graduated from Concord High School in 1943. She was a receptionist at Yoder, Ainlay, Ulmer and Buckingham until her retirement in 1981. She was a former member of Goshen City Church of the Brethren.
Surviving are a daughter, Susan (and spouse Bryan) Rathke, Milford; two sons, Kenton L. (and spouse Susan) Clark, Fort Wayne, and Dr. James D. (and spouse Jane) Clark, Trabuco Canyon, Calif.; nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and two infant brothers.
A graveside service was at 11 a.m. today West Goshen Cemetery with Pastor Rob Nelson officiating.
