The Bible Test

Posted

Editor, Times-Union:
With politicians going to churches every election year to gain the confidence and votes of the congregations, I believe there should be a Bible test to determine if God would approve of the politician since God is the one who protects this nation.
(1) Do you believe most people go to Heaven after they die?
The answer should be no. The Bible says the road to Hell is broad and many go down it while the road to Heaven is narrow and few go that way. Not every person can claim to be a child of God just like not every person can claim to be a child of Elon Musk. Salvation through accepting Christ as your Savior makes one a child of God. Christ said that only through him can we see God.
(2) Do you support the Jews and that Israel, since God established it as the homeland of the Jews, should be supported?
Anti-Semetism is evil. The Abrahamic Covenant says that God will bless those that bless the children of Abraham and curse those that hate the Jews. Too many politicians, both Democrats and Republicans, hate Israel and the Jews. No one can prove they love God if they hate Israel and the Jews. If they can't support Israel, despite some of its mistakes, they shouldn't be supported by the voters.
(3) Do you support abortion on demand?
God knows us when we are formed in the womb. He believes abortion is murder since it exterminates a life. People in Israel were passing their children through the fire as they worshiped Satan and God allowed Israel to be destroyed. God will allow America to be destroyed if it follows Israel's example and believes innocent lives are expendable. If someone claims to be a minister or a faithful Christian and they want abortion on demand, they are blaspheming God. We all will stand before God to be judged eventually. If you vote for someone who believes lives in the womb should be exterminated, God may not send you to Hell if you are a Believer. But you will be ashamed of what you did. I'd hate to be a preacher who believes in exterminating the unborn who is elected because God might judge them harsher. Voters in Georgia voted for a preacher who believes in abortion and they will have to stand ashamed before God for electing him.
When you vote in November, remember, God will hold you responsible for who you vote for. They don't need to be Christians. They should be who God wants in office.
