Terry L. Swoverland

Terry L. Swoverland, 48, of Leesburg, passed away at 5:40 a.m. June 4, 2013, in his residence.
He was born July 15, 1964, in Warsaw, to John and Linda Hull Swoverland, who survive in Warsaw. On April 30, 2005, in Indianapolis, he married Holly Monroe, who survives.
A lifetime resident of Kosciusko County, he was a reserve officer for the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Dept. for 13 years obtaining the rank of lieutenant and a firearms instructor. He also worked for the U.S. Postal Service as a letter carrier for 29 years.
He was a member of Christ Covent Church, Winona Lake. He enjoyed hunting, shooting, playing the guitar and the saxophone.
Also surviving are a son, David John (and spouse Brenda) Swoverland, Huntington; two daughters, Amanda (and spouse Ryan) Woods and Brittany (and spouse Kyle) Wuthrich, all of Warsaw; his grandmother,  Mary Hull, Winona Lake; a stepson, Adam Roberts, Leesburg; a stepdaughter, Shelly Roberts, Leesburg; a sister, Katrina (and spouse Ron) Brandenburg, Warsaw; grandchildren: Dayna Kinley; David Smith,  Huntington; Hunter and Hannah Swoverland, Columbia City; Aiden, Rieanna and Logan Woods, all of Warsaw; and nieces and nephews, Courtney, Cara and Cameron Brandenburg, all of Warsaw. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Miriam and Howard Swoverland and Austin Hull.
Service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, with Pastors Larry McCall and Rod Valentine officiating. Burial will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
Calling is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
