GOSHEN – Terry George Thompson, 76, formerly of Milford, died Aug. 19, 2016, at his home. He was born July 5, 1940, in Ludlow Falls, Ohio, to George and Lois Pfeiffer Thompson. On Sept. 5, 1965, in Osceola, he married Martha “Marti” Stauffer, who survives. A Milford resident since 1972, he worked for Cardinal Services, Warsaw, for 12 years and Walmart for 17 years. He was an active member of the Milford First Brethren Church. His hobby was his interest in fire department equipment. He was a volunteer firefighter for most of his life, serving on departments in Ludlow Falls, Shipshewana, Milford and New Windsor, Md. He also served as a Scout Master for Troop 747, Milford. Also surviving are a daughter, Beth Ann Thompson, Elkhart; a son, Rick (and spouse Amy) Thompson, Baltimore, Md.; three granddaughters: Megan, Lauren and Xandra; a brother, James (and spouse Mary) Thompson, Bradenton, Fla.; a sister, Joy (and spouse Bill) Sauder, Churubusco; and two sisters-in-law, Janine Katona, Forest Park, Ill., and Roma Jo Thompson, Bridgewater, Va. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Joel and R. Jan Thompson. Services were at 11 a.m. today at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, Goshen, with Pastor Lee Compson, Milford First Brethren Church, officiating.
