AKRON – Scott Rogers, project manager with The Skillman Corporation, updated the Tippecanoe Valley School Board Thursday about the progress of the high school construction project.
Demolition in the pool is being continued. Rogers said there have been some unforseen issues when it comes to the pool’s tank, which may push the project back.
Other things done included pouring footings and foundations for the additions and finishing storm and sanitary lines. Demolition of fixtures and walls within the existing pool locker rooms also was started.
Upcoming plans for construction include beginning remediations of the pool’s issues. Rogers said he should have a better idea of the end date for the project soon.
In other business, the board heard:
• Burket Educational Center’s graduation is set for 10 a.m. May 18.
• Tippecanoe Valley High School’s graduation is June 4 with the baccalaureate set at 2 p.m.
• There is a Building Trades open house at 4199 W. CR 200S, Warsaw, May 21 from 1 to 3 p.m.
