SYRACUSE - A Syracuse man was killed Friday afternoon when his motorcycle was involved in a crash with a car.
The fatal injury crash occurred in the 5500 block of CR 650N in Tippecanoe Township, according to a news release from the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office.
KCSO deputies, along with North Webster Police and emergency personnel, responded at 4:34 p.m. Friday to the two-vehicle accident in the area of 5565 E. 650N, Syracuse. Emergency personnel arrived on scene and found a Kawasaki motorcycle, driven by Brenden M. Dilley, 22, Syracuse, and a Buick passenger car, driven by Sandra L. Lilly, 75, Syracuse, involved in the crash.
Preliminary investigation determined the car was westbound on CR 650N and was turning left into a residence. The motorcycle was eastbound on CR 650N. Dilley was ejected from the motorcycle, according to the release.
Lilly was transported to Goshen Hospital for treatment of her injuries. Lilly had complaints of pain and bruising from the accident.
Dilley was pronounced dead at the scene from injuries suffered in the crash by Kosciusko County Coroner Tyler Huffer.
Assisting at the scene was the North Webster Police Department, Kosciusko County Coroner’s Office, Tippecanoe Township Fire and EMS, and Reichert & Knepp Wrecker Service.
The accident remains under investigation by KCSO FACT.
