Sylvia Winchester DeeterSylvia Winchester Deeter, age 88, formerly of Pierceton, passed away on Friday, Sept. 24, 2021, at 9:55 a.m. at Millers Merry Manor, Warsaw.
Born on July 22, 1933, in Imboden, Ark., Sylvia was the daughter of Sidney and Madge Smith O’Dell. She was united in marriage to Larry Deeter in 1971, who preceded her in passing in 1982.
Sylvia enjoyed being a caregiver throughout her lifetime. She attended the Church of Christ in Columbia City.
Sylvia is survived by two daughters: Betty (Dave) Frush, of Winona Lake; Becky Walker, of Warsaw; two sons: Jim Winchester, of Warsaw; and Tim Deeter, of Lafayette. In addition, she is survived by her three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in passing by both parents; her first husband, James Winchester; her second husband, Larry Deeter; and four brothers: Brooks, Bill, Gary and Randall O’Dell.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, Sept. 27 at 1 p.m. in Hillcrest Cemetery, Pierceton, with Chaplain Bob Jarboe officiating the service.
McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, have been entrusted with all arrangements for the family.
