Editor, Times-Union: Since you have been reading about the woes of factory farming, perhaps you would like to know about an alternative method that will ensure safe farm practices and good, healthy meat for all of us to consume.
Next week there will be a bill before congress advocating sustainable farm practices and the encouragement of new farmers and ranchers. It will help new farmers get started in agriculture and create new jobs. National Sustainable Agriculture Coalition wants you to know that The Beginning Farmer and Rancher Opportunity Act of 2011 will need the support of as many legislators as possible.
