Supports Chick-Fil-A

Editor, Times-Union:
Everyone is talking about Chick-fil-a and an comment made by their CEO. Thank you for your editor piece on Saturday Aug. 4, 2012, stating the interview that started this. When did it become a sin to state one’s opinion? As long as Chick-fil-a does not break any laws in the running of their business, cities or states should not interfer with their business.

Another though, everyone talks about seperating church and state but how many knows that what Thomas Jefferson was saying that there was to be no state church, as in The Church of England? If as we know from history, most of the founders were Christians, why wouldn’t they believe that we needed Christ to lead us? Even if you do not believe in God, if you look at the different teaching you will see that they are the basis of teaching of right or wrong (do not steal, kill, etc.).

These things are not policital, they’re personal, and unless you are guilty of breaking the law, it does not and should not be the topic of debate.

Thank you for letting me state my opinion and may God bless the USA.
