WINONA LAKE – After a record-setting week, Brooke Sugg was named the Crossroads League Player of the Week for Grace College women’s basketball team.

Sugg averaged an astonishing 36.0 points per game in a pair of Grace wins. She set a facility record on Wednesday, becoming the first women's basketball player to score 40 points in a game at Grace's Manahan Orthopaedic Capital Center.

In two games Sugg shot a blistering 66 percent from the floor and 50 percent on 3-pointers (10-of-20) to go along with 2.5 steals, 2.5 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game.

Sugg netted a career-high 40 points to beat Spring Arbor and then scored 32 points in a rout of Bethel on Saturday.

The Lady Lancers, who have won their past two league games by over 25 points, will aim for a third straight win on Wednesday. Grace plays at Goshen on Wednesday at 6 p.m. as part of a doubleheader with the men’s teams.
